Evolving with Purpose

Community is central to a Pacific Ridge education. We believe that learning is most powerful when it is shared — when we gather in dialogue and inquiry, explore diverse perspectives, and build understanding together. By intentionally strengthening the shared experiences that define us, we deepen belonging, elevate our intellectual life, and reinforce the connections at the heart of our school.

• Amplify our discussion-based approach to teaching and learning through continued refinement of Harkness practice.
• Examine and redesign how time is structured during the school day to maximize in-person engagement and shared experience.
• Design and build a multi-use facility and a reimagined center of campus that expands opportunities for shared learning, gathering, and community connection.
• Position the campus as a hub in North County San Diego for intellectual and cultural connection through lectures, arts, civic engagement, athletics, and community celebrations.

Pacific Ridge connects students to the world beyond our campus in meaningful and enduring ways. Through authentic local and global partnerships, students deepen their learning, broaden their perspectives, and prepare for lives of purpose and global engagement.

Further orient the academic program toward global engagement, ensuring that local and global perspectives are meaningfully embedded in student learning.

• Reimagine travel education programs with a focus on mission alignment, affordability, and authentic engagement with partner communities.
• Expand internship and career education opportunities to provide students with meaningful professional learning experiences.
• Grow engagement with our alumni community to strengthen relationships and expand opportunities for students.
• Advance service learning programs by fostering sustained, meaningful partnerships with local and global organizations that engage students in authentic experiences.
