Spark Sessions are twice monthly lunch sessions, inviting passionate professionals--local leaders in STEAM fields, creators, researchers, and innovators--to “host” a lunch. Part presentation, part conversation, any student is welcome to drop in, bring their lunch and hear the experiences or lessons that person would like to share and ask their questions. 

Think of it like a “Career Day” presentation but more conversational and about the issues of one job, field and industry, with one-on-one questions with a person from that area, sharing their journey to that job.

This is a low-key, friendly environment for students meet professionals who are passionate about the work they do, hear their stories and ask questions directly.

As careers are created and evolving everyday, often by the people in them, it is really important to learn about the range and nuance of many career fields, what is involved in the day-to-day of those practices, and a possible path to such a career.
