Anderson brings a dynamic combination of high-level playing experience and a proven track record of developing young athletes. His arrival builds on the strong foundation of Pacific Ridge’s high school water polo program and reflects the school’s continued commitment to excellence in both athletics and student experience.

Anderson joins Pacific Ridge from the La Jolla United Water Polo Club, where he led the 14U White team to its best team finish at the Junior Olympics last year. He also coached the 14U Navy team to a KAP 7 championship this past winter session, positioning them for continued success at the Junior Olympic tournament this summer.

“My mission as a coach is rooted in a love for the game and a commitment to helping athletes reach their potential,” said Anderson. “I want to create a space where players feel motivated, supported, and excited to come to practice every day while developing the skills and confidence that will serve them both in water polo and in life.”

At Pacific Ridge, Anderson will focus on fostering a competitive, hard-working, and supportive environment where student-athletes can thrive while building leadership, resilience, and a strong sense of teamwork.

“Our water polo program has a well-established foundation,” said Athletics Director Don Collins. “We’re excited to welcome Coach Anderson to build on that momentum and continue elevating the program’s success while strengthening our water polo community.”

An accomplished competitive athlete, Anderson served as team captain for the University of California, Davis where he helped lead the program to three conference championships and an appearance in the NCAA semifinals. He balanced the demands of collegiate athletics with academic rigor, graduating with degrees in psychology and communications.

At the high school level, Anderson competed for Sir Francis Drake High School, where he was part of the team that captured a CIF Division I North Coast Section Championship. He grew up in Northern California, where he competed in club water polo for Sleepy Hollow Aquatics (SHAQ). During his club career, he helped lead SHAQ to two silver medals in the Junior Olympic Platinum Division, one of the highest levels of youth water polo in the country.

Coach Anderson is excited to continue mentoring student-athletes and helping lead the next chapter of Pacific Ridge Water Polo.
