CAREERS
OUR MISSION
In a community that fosters academic excellence, ethical responsibility, and global engagement, Pacific Ridge School prepares students for college and a purposeful life.
Who We Are
Pacific Ridge School is dedicated to developing strong minds and courageous spirits, guiding students through young adulthood and beyond. Our mission shapes our academic programs, co-curricular offerings, extracurricular activities, and opportunities for exploration. Faculty and staff share this journey with students in the classroom, on stage, on the field, in the community, and across the globe.
A Community of Care
Ours is a community designed to give all its members – no matter their age or level of experience – space to grow; one that provides the opportunity to stretch, along with the support and guidance needed to do it successfully.
We are committed to the growth of our teachers and offer opportunities for professional development as well as a wealth of potential mentorship within our deeply experienced faculty. The Harkness pedagogy enhances teaching skills in all disciplines and provides interest and variety to classroom instruction.
Faculty and staff members can follow their passions as advisors to clubs and service learning groups, as coaches, and as trip leaders during global travel. There are endless ways to get involved.
We invite you to get to know us and learn more about our community!
Mr. Peeden
I've been at PRS for ten years, and the reason I love my job and stay at my job is the same: the people. Be it the people I work with, the students I teach, or the parents I get to partner with, the community at PRS is second-to-none.- Dean of faculty affairs, teacher of history
Ms. Tan
One of my favorite parts of teaching at PRS is watching students begin to see beyond their own experiences and discover their role in a global community. Through the questions they ask, the conversations they spark, and the connections they build, I see them growing into more thoughtful, empathetic, and globally engaged individuals.- teacher of English
Mr. Jones
The reason I love my job and continue to teach at Pacific Ridge are the deep bonds I have created with colleagues and students in and outside of class. These bonds are formed in my language immersion classrooms, advisory, affinity spaces, sports, affinity spaces, travel programs as well as a plethora of different spaces. This community is constantly evolving and growing but at its core the bonds that I have formed are what anchor me in my own growth and development as a teacher and most of all as an individual.
