Annual Giving

There has never been a better time or greater need to support the Annual Fund than right now! Every year, Pacific Ridge School depends on the Fund for revenue beyond tuition to support an outstanding learning environment for students and teachers. Those same needs remain in 2020-2021, but now the School also faces extraordinary costs to provide a safe and flexible learning environment during the pandemic. All gifts to the Fund are used in the same year they are received, so please make your gift early to support the school at this very moment.

The 2020-2021 Pacific Ridge Annual Fund will help cover costs for:

  • Nearly 60 additional classroom sections
  • Additional support staff
  • Remote learning technology upgrades for every classroom
  • Handwashing stations, sanitizing equipment, thermal scanners
  • New furniture to accommodate physical distancing in classrooms
  • Increased tuition assistance to keep our community together
As is the case at virtually all independent schools, tuition and fees do not cover the full cost of educating students, nor do they cover the cost of new buildings or major improvements. The Annual Fund helps close the operating gap, moderates tuition increases and keeps a Pacific Ridge education accessible to the widest range of qualified applicants possible.

Participation Matters

Every gift, regardless of size, makes a difference.

Each year, our community’s collective contributions provide us with the financial flexibility to enhance our programs and enrich our student’s educational experience. Annual Giving is a critical component of our operating budget, but the impact of your donation does not end there. Annual giving covers 4% of the operating budget (90% of the gap), with the remaining funding provided by outside donors and private foundations. Before outside donors commit resources to Pacific Ridge, they want to see a fully invested community – one that believes in the school, its values and experience. Participation in the Annual Fund is an indicator of our community’s shared commitment to the success and sustainability of Pacific Ridge and sends a powerful message to other donors.

2020-2021 Annual Fund gifts, pledges and payments are accepted through June 30, 2021 Cash, checks, credit cards, securities, and corporate matching gifts are all accepted.
