Endowment & Capital Giving

Protecting the future of PRS!

2024-2025 GOAL: $1,500,000

General Endowment

An endowment fund is crucial for ensuring the long-term financial stability of an independent school.

Pacific Ridge School established its general endowment in late 2021 to generate a perpetual source of income, protect the school against market volatility and unforeseen events, and mitigate rising costs. The fund's current value of ~$5 million is significant given the school's relatively young age; increasing the endowment to $10 million is seen as the minimum threshold before drawing from it as an additional source of income for the school's operating budget. Building a robust endowment will allow PRS to remain accessible to a diverse student body and is imperative for providing financial resiliency and securing the future. If you want to give to the endowment, please email Barbara Edwards or call 760-448-9849.

Capital giving

Capital giving is transformative. Donors who contribute to support critical building and infrastructure initiatives that advance the school's strategic priorities have a lasting impact on current and future generations of students.

Since 2007, The Pacific Ridge School community has raised nearly $100 million through Capital Giving, transforming our school into today's vibrant campus. Capital Campaigns are targeted fundraising efforts for significant projects such as new buildings, renovations, or purchasing major equipment. These donations are usually larger, one-time gifts and often involve multi year pledges. Click HERE to view the donor list from our most recently completed Here to Stay Campaign for financial sustainability.

The Board of Trustees has a task force to define the next steps in completing the campus. If you want to learn more about the task force and efforts to complete the campus or give a capital contribution, please contact Barbara Edwards or call 760-448-9849.
