Checks

By Mail: To ensure your gift is postmarked by December 31, please mail your check early. The IRS determines the date of your gift based on the postmark, not the date written on the check or when it’s placed in the mailbox. Mail to: Pacific Ridge School| 6269 El Fuerte Street| Carlsbad, CA 92009.
Hand-Delivery: Please deliver your check to the Philanthropy Office by the end of the school day on December 19.
Third-Party Carriers: Please do not send checks via FedEx, UPS, or other carriers during the break. These services do not provide postmarks, the school will be closed, meaning no delivery.

Gifts of stock, bonds and mutual funds make an ideal charitable gift for both the donor and PRS, providing tax advantages that reduce capital gains and still may result in a tax deduction. The charitable deduction is based on the fair market value on the day the gift is received.
