Financial Literacy Course Prepares Students for Real-World Challenges

Financial Literacy Course Prepares Students for Real-World Challenges
Kris Captanis

The Financial Literacy course equips upper-level high school students with essential personal finance skills through a hands-on, project-based curriculum. Focusing on practical topics like opening bank accounts, managing expenses, and understanding credit, the course addresses the immediate needs of students preparing for college life.

In a recent unit, students honed their job-hunting skills by crafting professional resumés and cover letters, which they used to apply for hypothetical campus internships. PRS staff reviewed the applications and conducted mock interviews, offering valuable feedback to help students excel in future job opportunities.
