PRS Volunteers Make an Impact at North County Food Bank
Kris Captanis
This past Saturday, 28 PRS volunteers — students, families, and staff — came together for a service day at the North County Food Bank.
Volunteers worked on two major projects:
-
Backpack for Kids Project: 657 bags were assembled to support students in 12 schools across San Diego County.
-
Warehouse Work: Volunteers boxed bins of bread, dry-sorted 3,000 pounds of non-perishable items, and sorted 700 pounds of produce, all of which will be sent to nonprofit food centers in San Diego County.
A special shout-out to our PRS teammates Mrs. Fenner, Mr. Symington, and Mrs. Matzen who volunteered alongside their kids. We were thrilled to have students from both the middle and high school participating with their families.
We’re excited for our next service day in May with Feeding San Diego. Thank you to everyone who joined us in this PRS tradition of giving back! Together, we’re making a difference.
