Lunchtime 'Spark Sessions' Provide Food for Thought
Spark Sessions - lunchtime conversations with local leaders in STEAM fields - are giving students the opportunity to sink their teeth into topics in creativity, innovation, passion, and purpose.
The newly launched series benefits from an informal, inviting format that is equal parts presentation and conversation. Students are able to engage with speakers one-on-one to ask questions about pursuing a fulfilling career and purposeful life. Recently, Katherine Kantardjieff, Dean of the College of Science and Mathematics at California State University, San Marcos, hosted a Spark Session about her passion for biophysical chemistry, crystallography, cyber security and academia. Upcoming guests include a former criminal investigator and a magazine editor.
