Service Learning group W.I.N.D. raised $1,000 to donate to the Aloha School in Kauai, which was completely flooded during the island’s record-breaking rains last month. “We heard about the Kauai floods on the news and we decided to donate the funds to the pre-school since it was completely damaged during the floods,” said W.I.N.D. leader Samantha Frank. The group raised the funds selling pizza and churros during lunch. In the group's first year of existence, students have raised $3,000 for natural disaster victims. Other recipients include those affected by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the mudslides in Santa Barbara.
