Understanding how to create, edit, and manipulate electronic music is becoming increasingly important in modern music making. Students enrolled in the Digital Music Production class will get hands on experience working with Garageband, but will quickly transition into Apple’s Logic Studio - a more advanced version and professional grade version of Garageband. Students will learn how to create a song from the ground up, how to incorporate a plethora of instruments and sound effects into a single song, how to mix audio so that it becomes a cohesive whole, and how to use simple effects and plugins within songs. This class will prepare aspiring students to enroll in and successfully pass the high school Digital Music classes at Pacific Ridge School. No former experience is necessary.
